- The exam for the Science theory paper was 70 marks while practice was 30 marks. The arts and commerce paper was 100 marks.
- This year, BSEB increased the number of objective-type questions in each stream paper. Subjects like Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, Mathematics, History, Sociology, Political Science, and Philosophy had 50 MCQs while English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Maithili, Urdu, and other languages had 35 MCQs.
- This year, if a student fails in the compulsory subject, the marks obtained in the additional subject will be considered for preparing the result. There is a total of 5 papers in the board exam which includes two compulsory language papers- Hindi and English.
- The marking scheme for intermediate examinations was also revised this year by the Bihar Board to help students score better in their exams.
- In BSEB Class 12 board exams this year, students were given an extra 15 minutes to go through the question paper. The exam timings for the first shift were from 9.30 am to 12.45 pm and for the second shift from 1.45 pm to 5 pm.
