Bihar Board 10th 12th Compartmental cum Special Exam 2026 Schedule Released

Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has released the Bihar Board 10th 12th Compartmental cum Special Exam 2026 Schedule for Science, Arts, Commerce, and Vocational courses. BSEB Inter Compartment and Special exams will be held from May 2 to May 13, 2026. Practical exams will be held on May 14 and 15, 2026. While BSEB Matric Compartment and Special exams will be held from May 2 to May 7, 2026.

Students who have registered for Bihar Board Matric and Inter Compartment Exam 2026 can now check the schedule by visiting the official website biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in or their official X handle. As per the official schedule, the exams will be conducted in two shifts – the first one from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm and the second one from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. Candidates will get 15 minutes of cool-off time before the exam begins. Students need to score at least 33 percent marks to pass the compartment exam.

Bihar Board’s 10th (Matriculation) Special and Compartment Examination will start from May 2 and will run till May 7, 2026, while the 12th (Intermediate) Special and Compartment Examination will start from May 2 and end on May 13, 2026. The board has advised all the students to download their admit card from the official website in time and ensure to follow all the guidelines related to the examination, so that any kind of problem can be avoided.

According to the released datesheet, the compartment examinations are starting from May 2 and ending on May 13, 2026. While the 10th compartment examination will start from May 2 and end on May 7. BSEB 10th Exam Result Performance

A total of 15,58,077 students appeared in the Bihar Class 10 exam, out of which 12,79,294 passed and 2,78,783 failed, taking the total pass percentage to 82.11 percent. Among the male students, 7,52,685 appeared, out of which 6,29,620 passed and 1,23,065 failed, taking the total pass percentage to 83.65 percent.

Whereas, 8,05,392 female candidates appeared in the exam, out of which 6,49,674 passed and 1,55,718 failed, taking the pass percentage to 80.67 percent.

BSEB 12th Exam Result Performance

The overall pass percentage in the Bihar Board Intermediate Annual Exam 2026 was 86.50 percent. Out of the total examinees, 5,08,540 students secured first division, 5,07,002 secured second division, and 91,788 secured third division. For girls, a total of 6,37,797 appeared for the exam, out of which 5,59,097 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 87.67 percent.

Whereas, 6,42,414 boys appeared for the exam, out of which 5,48,233 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 85.34 percent.

What is the “cool-off” time?

Students will be given 15 minutes to read and analyze the question paper before the exam. However, writing answers during this time is strictly prohibited.

Pass Marks

To pass the Bihar Board Class 10th and 12th compartment exams, students need 33% marks in each subject and overall. If you score less than 33 marks in the compartment exams, then the students will be considered failed. Such students will not be promoted to the next class under any circumstances.
